Many adults know that the best way to learn is by doing, and build skill practice into a number of their program activities, but forget that decision making is also a skill that youth must practice.
When youth are given the opportunity to make relevant choices, provide feedback to adults, and share leadership and responsibility, it builds youth motivation, promotes learning and self-direction, and improves programs and communities.
